My family has been Child Care Center owners/ providers for over 12 years. In addition we have been fortunate enough to provide foster care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and teenagers with mental, physical, and/or behavioral issues for the past 10 years. I have always enjoyed working with infants, toddlers, and youth. It has become second nature for me. I love the carefree interaction that you can experience with children. While doing so we were given the great opportunity to be able to share our homes with children with special needs, behavioral, and emotional disorders which has given a better understanding on how to deal with these issues. I also have experience with newborns, infants, toddlers and children of all ages. While working at the child care center as a teacher's assistant I was responsible for daily activities and lesson plans, motor and social skill development, breakfast, lunch and snack time preparation, diaper changing, preparing bottles, etc.
I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to join my two loves of cooking and caring for children. I have taught over 40 cooking classes for children ranging from 3-10 years old. I hope that I am blessed enough to continue to do so in the future.
