I love babies and children. I can't help but smile whenever I see one or am in their presence. As cliche as it may seem, I am a firm believer that they are the future of the world. We were all children, or still are at heart, and it is an honor to be able to be a positive addition to their development.

I am currently a full-time student at the University of California, Irvine. I am in my senior year of the four-year baccalaureate nursing program. I aspire to be a registered nurse and to receive certification as a certified nurse midwife. As I stated, I believe children are the future of the world. With this belief in mind, I hope to work in labor and delivery so I can personally help mothers bring these little bundles of love and unimaginable potential into the world.

I have years of experience caring for younger cousins and family friends. I have volunteered at a non-profit organization called Sunday Friends in San Jose, working with children from all age groups. I took an introduction to teaching class in high school in which I studied the various developmental levels of children from daycare/preschool age to high school. My most "challenging" babysitting experience was caring for a 10-month-old infant with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It was hard to see a child so innocent and helpless battle with a condition that was painful physically and emotionally for the whole family.

As a nursing student, I am CPR certified as a health care provider. I can also promise that I can help your children with certain academic needs they may encounter. I am willing to provide any transcripts and references as desired.
