I have been caring for children for 22 years. I absolutely love my job. I love the children and over the years the children are all a part of my own family. I am a mother of 3 grown sons now and have been married to the love of my life for 33 years next month. I have helped raise over 60 plus children over my 22 years of caring for them. I usually start with them early on from 12 weeks or so until they are just too old to come to the "babysitters". I have now gone to many of their graduations and we are just like a large extended family. We do crafts and are outdoors as often as possible. We don't like being inside too often. I do all age appropriate crafts and activities. But mostly the children learn so much from each other and I am always there to oversee. I believe children still need some time to be children. To not make them grow up too fast! But I feel at the ages that I have started caring for most of the children social skills are probably the most needed. The sharing and getting along with others is so important for their growth and for their future.
