I have spent this past year and a half working as a preschool teacher at a local daycare in the 3-year-old room as well as in the PreK 2 room with 4 and 5-year-olds. I am also a new mother of a baby boy born January 20, 2011. In addition my experience with children in a daycare center, I have also spent several years teaching preschool swim lessons and dance classes. I have my degree in secondary math education and before I got into teaching preschool, I taught high school math for three years. I am taking my variety of experiences with young children and opening up my home as a daycare option for parents who want the academic structure and learning experience of a daycare center with the one-on-one attention that only an in-home daycare can give.

We have recently finished our basement to accommodate an in-home daycare with children of all ages. There is well-stocked playroom, a fire exit, a half bathroom, and a small kitchen area with a separate sink and refrigerator. I am also a certified lifeguard, so not only is my CPR and first aid training up to date, but it is also practiced often. While I'm not yet a licensed daycare, I will insist on following state licensing regulations.
