Since I was an young teenager, I have greatly enjoyed working with children. I started babysitting when I was 13 for a family with 6-year-old triplets and a 4-year-old. I really enjoyed spending time with the children and often prepared their meals and put them to bed. As a college undergraduate, I worked at a preschool as an assistant teacher in a 2-5-year-old classroom. I also mentored middle school students in an after school program. After graduating from college I worked as a ski school instructor for 3-5-year-old children and was an assistant director of a kid's program at a dude ranch. I recently worked at a preschool in both a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old classroom until I had to stop working to return to school for nursing.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. In my major, I focused greatly on developmental psychology. I took an incredible seminar in which I was taught about how children learn and grow through play and was able to use what I learned in a preschool setting. Through this experience and my time babysitting I learned about children's basic needs. I was also an assistant director for a kid's program over the summer and was responsible for children ages 0-12. Along with the director, I oversaw morning, afternoon and evening activities with the children. We were responsible for creating an imaginative and safe environment for the children to enjoy.

I am passionate about children and greatly enjoy spending time with them. I am very enthusiastic and communicate extremely well with children. I would love the opportunity to spend time with your children of all needs and ages!
