Ever since I can remember, I loved interacting with children. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. I have watched children ranging from six months to 12. Besides babysitting, I engaged in playing with the kids, helping with household chores and helping with homework. I have been a summer nanny for two children, ages seven and 10. For 1 year I lived in Germany as an Au Pair. I watch two children, ages twelves and four. From this opportunity, I have learned basic German language as well as working with children who aren't proficient in English. I helped with homework, prepared meals and was overall a positive role model for the children. Currently, I am studying early childhood education at a local community college. I have taken about 30 or more hours directly linked to children and their development. In the future, I hope to use my skills and knowledge to become a full-time nanny or a director of a preschool.
