I would like the chance to introduce myself and talk about my experience and qualifications.
My name is Tayana, and I am 25 years old. I am Brazilian native but have have been living in the Unites States. I came to the US as an exchange student. I attended college while working as a full-time live-in nanny in New York. I have worked as live-in and live-out full-time nanny as well as an occasional babysitter/mother's helper. I have two college degrees and I am trilingual. I have a clean driver's license and criminal record. I have Au Pair in America childcare training as well as being CPR/first aid certified. I have 8 years of references that can be provided upon request.
I worked with a family for a year and they had 3 children. They had a 2.5-year-old, a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old. One of the children (a girl) had cerebral palsy and was in a wheelchair. I was responsible for everything related to these children. I did cooking, their laundry, and play room clean up. I also involved them in fun activities such was going to the park, library, play dates, zoo and children's museum. I worked very closely with the girl, taking her to physical therapy almost daily. I did travel with the family on their vacation to help them with the children.
Another family I worked for 3.5 years had 4 girls. They had a newborn, a 4 year old, one who was 9 and a 12 year old. I was responsible for all things related to them such as cooking, laundry, room pick up. Making sure they did their homework and practiced on their instruments. Also I took them to the mall, play dates, the park, museums, the zoo and the movies. I was an avid participant in this family's life and was not considered just the nanny but actually an older sister to these girls. I also traveled with them and did overnights when the parents traveled. With the baby I was responsible for feeding, changing, bathing and stimulating her development by doing tummy time and playing with her.
I then moved to Arizona where I worked for a kosher Jewish family that had 3 girls. They were ages 3 months, 2.5 years old and 4 years old. I was responsible for cooking kosher meals and keeping the kitchen 100% kosher. I did their laundry, room pick up, kitchen clean up and grocery shopping. I also drove the kids to preschool and other fun activities. I supervised swimming as well.
