I was a dance teacher for 2 years, teaching children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old.

I went to college at Salisbury University and studied Early Childhood Education, with a minor in dance.

I currently work at a preschool and I am the lead teacher in the beginners classroom (ages 2-3 years). I took the lead position in September of 2011, but have been working at the preschool for 6 years. I've been left in charge of various classrooms in the school, ranging from infants (6 weeks -1 year) to Kindergarten, including running in-school camps and travel camps. I was recently named teacher of the year.


My last day of work is February 1, 2013, as I will be leaving due to increasing numbers in my classroom. A classroom of 25 2-year-olds makes teaching difficult, and it takes away from my philosophy as a teacher. I am looking to be a full-time nanny for a couple of years, before moving on to be an elementary school teacher.
