I have always had children around in my life and still do. It all started for me with taking care of family members and neighbor kids. I remember I could barely wait for my parents to finally tell me I was old and responsible enough to babysit. Little people have such imaginations and curiosity and I love being a part in helping mold them.
I love the outdoors (fishing, swimming, cooking out, going for walks, walking pets, and I have two dogs) and love crafting, jewelry making is my passion.
One fact that may be interesting to you is that I have two nephews within the Autism Spectrum. One with Asperger's (very high functioning) and the other is more severe and has not communicated verbally with us since he was 1-year-old. So you can see I am very familiar and would be helpful to anyone with children who have this condition.
In total I am a mom of two ( a beautiful stepdaughter and one biological son now married and starting his own family) and an auntie to five beautiful nieces and nephews. I also have several friends with children who I have helped look after over 20 years; I still think of each one of them as family in my heart and love every moment I get to spend with each one of them. I feel so blessed to be a part of their lives.
The last seven years living here in Fort Atkinson have been spent helping my husband raise his daughter and helping my neighbors with their children. I pick them up from school in emergencies, I give them rides when weather is crappy or just simply look after them while their parents work. Sadly, they are all starting to get old enough to where I am not needed so much anymore.
I am a loyal honest friend; I have no criminal history; I have my own vehicle with a clean driving record so I would be able to run errands for you if needed. Light housework such as picking up after ourselves and doing a little laundry is not an issue either.
Other interests I have include walking, swimming, catching a local baseball game, going to fairs, and fishing. Should you deem appropriate I would love to take your kids to do these things with me.
Hourly rates I charge will depend on what services I will be providing and how many children you have; set rates welcome and are completely negotiable!
Available hours checked here are just an ideal schedule but completely negotiable also.
