Tammy's Bio

I started childcare part-time over 30 years ago and after working in other industries I came back to childcare because I love children and caring for children is more rewarding than anything else I've done. I don't have children of my own so each child is special to me.
For the past seven years, I have cared for infants starting at the age of 3 months and toddlers up to the age of 4 years. I'm experienced with...

Raina S. says:
She sounded great on the phone and she was supposed to start this morning. She texts me right before she was to come that she has to take her sister somewhere. Fortunately, I can put my son in preschool. It seems that she had other interviews and she was going to take the job that paid the most. That's fine, but be honest about it and if I'm not paying enough don't reply to my ad. I pay what I can afford. More

Tammy C. responds:
I do understand why Raina is angry. I did make a mistake in scheduling my "trial" day for that particular day and it had absolutely nothing to do with how much she could pay. I am sorry that Raina thinks everything a person does is about money. It was a "trial" day meaning she was going to be there all day with me. I was not hired yet. She is making it sound like she had to scramble to find someone to care for... More
Seanna K. says:
Tammy interviewed and had a trial day with us recently. She was very punctual and professional. We interviewed numerous people for this position, but she was by far the most organized and prepared. She interacted quite well with my 6-month-old son, and he seemed to really enjoy her company during her day with us. She comes highly recommended by all of her references. She would be an excellent nanny candidate... More

Tammy C. responds:
I understand that Raina is angry. I did make a mistake in scheduling my "trial day" for the same day I had made a family member's appointment. I did text her the NIGHT before (730 p.m. )as soon as I was reminded about my family member's appointment to let her know that I had made a mistake. This was a "trial day" meaning she was going to be there with me all day. She is making it sound like she had to scramble... More
