I have relocated to Milford, CT area from Wellsville, NY where I was recently employed as head teacher for 3-year-olds at a daycare. I accepted this position after working at the day care first as an assistant for various rooms then as the preschool assistant to the preschool head teacher. My experience as head teacher has given me responsibility for multiple tasks from making lesson plans, being able to inspire and teach a small group of children, developing and maintaining strong relationships and open communication with the parents to having the responsibility of closing the daycare each night.
In my position as head teacher, I was responsible for preparing weekly lesson plans and activities, keeping daily record of each child, assisting children in proper eating, dressing, toileting, and as well as maintaining the safety of my class of 3-year-olds. While also keeping up to date on all certification and class requirements for New York State.
