When my 1st daughter was 14 months, I wanted a playmate for her and began babysitting a 4-month-old boy part-time. I loved this so much that I became CPR and First-Aid certified and began in-home childcare full time. After 3 years, my husband and I relocated to Ashburn.

We recently purchased a home in the Cedar Lane Elementary school boundaries and I'm excited to have opened my business again!

I like to keep the number of children in my care nice and small. Besides my now having-a-blast-in-kindergarten daughter, I also have a 1-year-old daughter who cracks me up on a near-hourly basis with her laughs and smiles.

At this time, my business is full. However, please feel free to contact me. Families sometimes move out of the area, children enroll in preschool, teachers take the summer off and keep their children with them, etc, so there is always a chance that an opening is in the works. I am also willing to do a "waiting list".

I support breast feeding, cloth diapering, and early potty training. I also serve mostly organic snacks/drinks. Formula fed babies are also welcome, too, of course!!

In my former life I taught high school math. I really enjoy teaching children about the world around them: colors, shapes, sounds, etc. We have a regular routine that includes singing time, learning-through-play activities, vocabulary building activities, and predictable nap and meal times.

I am CPR certified, insured, and have a tax ID number if you need a care provider who qualifies for flex spending/tax deductions.
