Although I am an only child I have tons of cousins and have grown up around children. I have babysat for different families for around 10 years now. I babysat a little boy who used to live across the road for 5 or 6 years, then began caring for his adopted sister from Ethiopia when his parents adopted her about a year and a half ago. I was the primary sitter for this family for years and they were very sad to see me move from Vermont to Colorado. I love working with children, especially one on one or in small groups. I find their imagination, innocence and excitement for the smallest things so much fun to be around. I think some of the reason I enjoy spending time with children so much is due to my lack of desire to "grow up".
