I taught high school English at a high school for 30 years. I have two children of my own who are 20 and 17. I retired in 2010 and during the 2010-2011 school year, I nannied part time for a friend who is a teacher and started taking care of her daughter when she was 2 months old. My friend wanted a full time nanny for the next year, but I was not able to commit to a full time schedule. I am the occasional sitter for three other families whose children range in ages from 1-9. I have kept my step-grandchildren on occasion when their caregivers were not able to keep them. I really enjoy being around children, and I take my child-care responsibilities seriously!
