Hello. I live in south Austin. I am a health conscious woman who enjoys caring for the needs of children and animals. My number one qualification is that I successfully raised a wonderful son and therefore I have the real-life experience that is comprehensive and proven.

A recent article in the NY Times states what I believe is the most important characteristic that I have been gifted with: "Brooks-Gunn did, however, have some advice for what can make a good nanny. The single-most important characteristic is the extent to which a nanny is responsive to the child's mood and interests. Brooks-Gunn said that when she chose a nanny, she simply handed her son to every candidate she interviewed and chose the one who responded most sensitively."

I would like to share my experience with raising my son with you. My wonderful son is 25 years old now. He attended Taylor University in Indiana in 2005 with his high school sweetheart. They married in their senior year at college. They live in Louisville, KY. My son is a chemist and his wife is a registered nurse. All my prayers as a mother have been answered because they are two peas in a pod enjoying life and completely in love.

I raised my son as a single mother. I provided for him a home that was filled with peace, love and happiness. I worked part-time to give him as much of my time, love and attention as possible. With his father so detached, I needed to fill the void and I was fortunate that I was able to just work part-time and make ends meet. My dedication to my son and making a loving and happy home for him was my goal and I achieved it.

I will always love being a caregiver to children and animals because I believe they are the most important things in life and because I believe caring serves a great purpose on this planet.
