I have raised four grown children and have two delightful grandchildren! (What a blessing grandchildren are!) When my children were young I ran a licensed daycare in my Delaware home, have been an assistant preschool teacher, lead creative movement classes for 2 to 5-year-old children, and was the lead teacher in a 2-year-old class at the Y in Mt Laurel, New Jersey. I was a professional nanny for a family with three active boys, before moving to North Carolina in January, 2006. I am currently a full time nanny working for a family who, sadly, will be relocating to Colorado next week! I have been part of their family for three years. I have cared for their 2 precious boys (ages 1 and 3.5)since infancy. I love them both!

My approach to the children and families for whom I work is to be proactive in planning trips, maintaining structure on a daily basis, and providing a supportive atmosphere to play and learn. I have developed several relationships with other nannies and joined two "Meet Up" groups in the area. I enjoy taking the children to the Life and Science Museum, area parks, tumbling classes and Kindermusik. I have reliable transportation to transport children to activities or school.
I am a "hands on" nanny, loads of hugs and kisses, and believe in education through play. My greatest asset is a loving and nurturing spirit. I may be considered "mature" but I am active and lively!
The ideal position for me would be 20-25 hours per week.
