Hi! My name is Susana. I was born in Mexico City and moved to the United States when I was 2 years old. I lived in Iowa for eight years before I moved to Austin. My parents have always made it a priority for my siblings and me to speak Spanish in the house, so I am completely fluent in both Spanish and English. I have a twin sister and two younger siblings in 4th grade who are twins as well. With two sets of twins, a German shepherd, and a Chihuahua there is never a dull moment in my house. Being the daughter of a chemical engineer and a nutritionist there is tremendous pressure to get a high-quality education after high school. I would like to go to either Texas Tech or The University of Houston and study pharmacy, but have always had an interest in working with younger children. Last year I took a course in child development and this year I am taking a teaching class in which we travel to different elementary schools in the area to learn how to teach different age groups. I have babysat several different children in the past most of which were between the ages of 2-6 but am comfortable with children of any age. I am finishing up my senior year of high school, so I am forced to limit my babysitting times to weekends.
