It is hard trying to figure out who to trust with the care of your child. I have a solid character with no negative behaviors in my history. I am a mature, reliable, honest, caring and nurturing person. People who know me have nothing but positive things to say about me.

One of my first jobs as a teenager was babysitting kids ranging from 2-6 years old. When I went to college I became good friends with a pregnant coworker, who was a single mom. Four weeks after she gave birth to her daughter, she asked me to move in to help care for the baby. Since I've always had a gift for children the baby took to me right away. I lived there & helped care for her until she was about 2 1/2. Although it was very devastating loosing what family or home I had built with them, I had to explore my opportunities.

While I attended college I was employed in the trusted position of assistant manager of a restaurant. At home, before and after college, I held the same job for many years, working for a family owned business that sadly went out of business during the recession. While I could find other types of work, I am choosing to be a caregiver because, out of all the things I enjoy doing, caring for children is the most rewarding for me. I have had many years of experience with children of all ages ranging from infant to about seven years of age.

Due to my calm disposition, children just seem to gravitate towards me. So taking this gift that I was given, I decided I wanted to be a nanny. Not only to care for the children but to give them guidance and the joy that they have given to me. Life has taught me many things but the one thing dearest to my heart is "family". It's something you build along the way and there are no boundaries on how small or big you want it to be. I would like to expand my family and that is also why I have chosen to be a nanny.

If you can give me a chance, I am positive you will not regret it. I may not have all the experience you need for being a nanny but I feel you have to start somewhere before you get somewhere. Experience will grow in time, but I feel if something comes so naturally to you, experience is just a word. When you have a big heart and care for others more than yourself I believe that's all you need.
