Ever since I was younger I have always had a great interest in working with children. I started babysitting when I was 14 years old, which was only for a couple hours at a time but I enjoyed it so much. As I got older I started babysitting evenings and weekends. When I was 18 and graduated from high school I moved to Germany and that's where my dream of working with children really took off. I got a job as a teacher assistant at a Child Development Center on a U. S Army base where they let me learn and earn credits in child development as I worked and gained experience with children. I worked with toddlers ( 1.5-3 year-olds) the first year I was there I worked with preschoolers ( 3-5 year-olds) the 2nd year I was there. I also worked with infants ( 6 weeks- 1.5 year olds). I had to gain experience with each age group while I was there but I didn't have my own class with infants while I was there. I then had to relocate back to California, where I worked as a toddler teacher for a few months. I've decided to change my career path from being a teacher to being a nanny because I feel like I can bond with a child a lot more when there is more one on one time. I'm loving and caring and your child would be my pride and joy. I would love him/her as if they were my own.
