I have always loved children since I was very young. I had many younger cousins who I started babysitting when I was about 10 years old. In addition, I volunteered in the nursery at my church for over a year. When I was a senior in high school I coached a 10-year-old boys' soccer team. In 2006 I worked for 7 months as a houseparent in an orphanage in Mexico; I had five children living with me, between the ages of 7-14. In 2009, I was a nanny for a 4-month-old baby girl. I cared for her consistently for about 15 months, and her baby sister on occasion after she was born. Also in 2009, I cared for a 9-month-old boy and a 2-year-old boy for about two months, but unfortunately had to quit because my college classes didn't work with their schedule. During the summer of 2010, I nannied a 1-year-old boy every day of the week while his parents worked. During the summer 2011, I directed Skyhawks sports camps in the Seattle area, and worked with children ages 3-12. From Oct. 2011-June 2012, I taught English in Spain to children between the ages of 11-18. In addition to all of this, I have a 2-year-old niece and a 4-year-old nephew who I love and try to spend as much time with as possible!
