I am hoping to find a few families to provide occasional childcare for your most precious bundle(s) of joy! I am a 26 year old graduate student finishing my Education Masters in the Art of Teaching Science. I was a nanny for the same family for 4.5 years, before my schedule changed due to student teaching. I have babysat since I was 11. I am a loving, organized, and resourceful person. I'm excited to hear from...
I'm excited to hear from you! Please feel free to message me with any questions or inquiries; I will reply ASAP. Thank you!
When I am not babysitting or in school, I enjoy cooking, hiking, and crafting. I am married to a wonderful US soldier and we have one very energetic dog.
In the past, I have provided light housework, grocery shopping, meals, bath time care, carpool, lesson plans/activities, overnight care, and more. I am a quick learner and have experience tutoring. I have cared for children with hearing impairments, diabetes, and Autism. I believe in inclusive inquiry learning, character building, and positive discipline. I have a wide background in human development, psychology, and diversity of children.
I believe a child is like a sponge; therefore, it is never too early to start learning. I always have songs, games, and crafts wherever I go. A schedule keeps order and my nannying schedule included naps/quiet time, circle or Bible time (depends on your family), meals/snacks, music, actives (indoor, outside & field trips), crafts, and story time. Although not fluent, I do use Spanish and American Sign Language to enhance vocabulary of younger children. I have used baby ASL with much success. Outdoor activities include nature walks while walking, like different animals, finding a new playground with the kids, picnicking, hiking, riding bikes and finding shapes in the clouds. Inside activities include crafts, science projects, coloring, fort building, games, and songs. Of course, from experience, I know kids sometimes have their own ideas and agenda, so I leave room for flexibility.
My true passions in life truly are learning, laughing, and crafting: three things childcare can offer. I feel nannying has helped teach me patience, organization, and how to see the world through a different lens. Working with children overall is a pure joy and sometimes I feel the blessings I receive are more than I can give back. The pure heart of a child reminds you to enjoy the littlest to biggest moments many adults would just walk past.
Hope to meet your family soon!
