I am a licensed home day care provider with 17 years of experience working with children. I have cared for children, ages 2 months to school age. I worked in centers for over 10 years and finally got the chance to open up my own home day care. This is a dream job for me, and each day I feel so lucky to be able to do a job that I truly love. I love teaching my preschool program and truly enjoy watching the kids learn and have fun. I promised myself when I started this business that I would treat each child in my care like I would treat my own. I know how it feels to have to put your child into someone else's care, for I had to place my daughter into care when she was 2 months old. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. So, I understand how my clients feel that first day their child is with me. This has helped me relate and reassure my clients that their child is in good hands. All of the kids in my care are treated like part of my family. Most of the kids that enter my child care remain with me for long term. This means a lot to me and helps me know that I am doing my job right. I plan on doing this job until I retire.
