I have always loved being around and caring for children. My mother ran an in-home day care for 11 years of my life and I helped her supervise, feed, and play with the children. I began to baby-sit on my own at the age of 10 and continued to baby-sit for several families, and children of all ages (infant to teenager), throughout my time in high school and college.
I also spent the summer of 2005 nannying for three children, an infant, 4 and a 6 years old where I prepared meals and snacks, brought children to and from activities, etc.

While living in NYC, I babysat for several families and also nannied for toddlers in Brooklyn and in Queens. I loved taking the kids on walks, to the park or playground, or, if the weather wasn't great, to the grocery store or similar place that allowed us to get out of the house and gave us a chance to learn the names of produce and to practice the colors!
