Hello, there. I am proud to say that I have been involved with early-childhood education and the physical, social, and emotional care of young children since high school. I have three wonderful children of my own, a 9-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, both of whom are in elementary school during the day on weekdays during the school year, and my sweet 3-month-old baby girl. I have turned to Care. com to search for part-time/occasional nannying/babysitting jobs, specifically weekdays during the day when my oldest two are in school. I am available to start in early September, and I'm seeking a family who would be comfortable with me bringing my baby with me. She's a good baby! I have been caring for young children for 15 years, and still going strong. I have extensive experience in professional child-care settings as well. My last full-time job in a child-care setting was from June of 2008 to September of 2010, at a child center. I was an associate infant teacher there, and I have extensive experience in infant and toddler care, as well as preschool age children. I loved my job, but left to pursue work as a professional nanny, as it meshes more ideally with my views on caring for young children. I believe young children should be nurtured and encouraged in all areas of growth and development through loving and positive one-on-one care and individualized attention. Thus, a nanny position for a private family would better suit my lifestyle, and so I turned to Care.com. I am passionate about and derive great joy in the work I do, and caring for young children is, to me, a blessing. There is nothing on earth that compares to sharing in a child's joy and excitement in taking their first steps, forming their first word, and all of the other amazing milestones of a child's growth and learning. To nurture a child through this process is a privilege, and I look forward to further enhancing my experience in this joyful, rewarding career. There is so much that children can learn through play and activities. I love to include the children in baking, arts and crafts, sensory experiences such as homemade play-dough, water table, and sand activities, all of which can be modified for all ages. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me!
