When I entered college in 2005, I lived an hour north of my parents. The street that they live on became an area for several young families (with a total of 7 children under the age of 6) and on my trips home I would spend as much time as possible with the neighbors' children from their infancy to their present ages of 6, 5, 4, 3, 13 months and 10 months. In my extended visits to my parents (1-3 months), I was the constant assistant childcare provider to any of my neighbors both while they were home and on occasions when they required a babysitter.

In high school, I assisted with Pre-Kindergarten classes twice a week, reading stories and assisting with crafts.

I love small people. I love to see life through their eyes, the wonder and curiosity that they feel on a daily basis.
