My name is Skylar, and I am going to be a Junior in college starting next fall. I have been babysitting over the past five years, and have experience working with children from a broad variety of age ranges: from as young as 6 months old, to as old as 12 years old. I have had numerous child care jobs throughout my life, but I first discovered my love of working with children as a babysitter. When babysitting, my main concern is the child's safety, but I also want the children to have fun. I enjoy doing arts and crafts projects with the kids I babysit for. I consider myself a creative person, and it brings me great joy to see a child proud of his or her artwork. I also like to play board games with the kids, and take them outside to play as much as possible. Over the past year I worked as an after school program aide at an elementary school, where I supervised and played with elementary aged children for 15 hours a week. Over the past two summers I have worked as a camp counselor for elementary aged children at the recreation program in my town. Working with children is something that brings me great joy, and I have had a good amount of experience in this field.
