Shirley's Bio

I have three children of my own. I haven't worked for a nanny agency before but I would love to become your childcare provider if given the opportunity. I have lots of experience with my own children. I had the pleasure of being a nanny while I was in the military. I just decided to give someone else that same opportunity. I love working with children and helping them build on their cognitive goals towards education.... More

Set up an interview, no call no show until I sent her a message 45 minutes after she was supposed to be here. I had indicated on the phone call prior to our scheduled meeting that it might be too far but she said she would let me know. I sent her directions and an appointment time.

Shirley G. responds:
Hello,
I am Shirley G., and I am responding to the messaging stating that I didn't show up for the interview. I explained to this individual that I would be attending church on Sunday. I went to church on Sunday 10 Mar 2013, and I wasn't able to make the interview time. The church service lasted much longer than expected. When you are at church in the middle of praise and worship people aren't allowed to leave...

Vicki H. says:
I would highly recommend Shirley. Shirley still works for me, even though I asked for her help while my 3 grandchildren were here for an extended stay. She has been very flexible with the work hours. She does a marvelous job and is very honest, dependable and pleasant to have in my home.

Shirley G. responds:
Mrs. Vicki is a pleasure to work, for and I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. I am glad that she chose me to work for her. Thanks, Shirley G.
Ebru E. says:
We interviewed Shirley for a part time nanny position. She is a very sweet and intelligent lady. We are planning to offer her a job but one of our family members stepped in and offered help. We will definitely keep her in mind for back up care or any future position.

Shirley G. responds:
Hello, I would like to say thanks to this family, for entrusting me with their children. Although I didn't get to care for the children physically, I appreciate this family for granting me the opportunity to become a part of their family. I hope that other potential employers would take a few moments to realize who I am. I appreciate this family taking the time to write such kind words about me.
Joseph J. says:
This person decided to respond to my ad (pet sitting) with a response about caring for kids; obviously didn't read my very detailed ad. I let her know that I'm looking for pet care and if she is truly qualified, please read it again and get back to me.

She proceeded to send an email saying my dog is ugly. Irrelevant and highly rude, not to mention unprofessional. Such unwarranted behavior leads me to believe...

Shirley G. responds:
Hello,

I am a veteran who volunteered to serve this country, and rendered my services to protect our country. I am retired from the military, and I thought that I would render my services once again. I honestly believe that Mr. Joseph didn't handle himself in a professional manner with me either. I just recently started using care. com. I decided to apply to more than one of the services listed on care....
