I love children and have experience working successfully with all ages, assisting through all of the stages of development, from infants to teens. I am loved by children as well as their parents and other nannies. My strengths are in offering unconditional acceptance and balancing discipline with rewarding of good behavior. The children that I have had the pleasure to work with have become very diligent students, well liked by their peers and respectful of their parents. As a former child care center owner, teacher and director, I have had the opportunity to work with many children and families of diverse backgrounds, offering early childhood education, nutritious meals in accordance with USDA standards, and exceptional child care mixed with lots of hugs and love. I have found that the joy of living comes from the recognition that each child has uniqueness and something great to offer. It is when nurturing is achieved that the great reward of their contribution is received! When children are shown love, and accepted as they are, molded and shaped and allowed to grow into the individual that they are to become, greatness is the result!
My assistance with the evaluation of curriculum used by Michigan State University to build strong families and nurture young children as well as my participation on an early childhood education board at Lansing Community College has increased my interest in keeping abreast of the latest developments in early childhood education and care, and my awareness of the need to position myself to offer optimum quality child care.

I am currently seeking a position as a live-in, or live-out nanny with a wonderful family.
