I am a Santa Cruz resident living on the west side near UCSC. I have been doing some form of childcare since I can remember and I feel it is my calling in life. My long term goal is to open my own daycare when I can afford to buy/rent my own home and not have to depend on roommate situations. I have completed 1/2 of my units to qualify me to teach in a preschool, and plan on completing the rest next spring. For now, I would like to help a few families in Santa Cruz with their childcare needs. Out of the few different careers I have excelled at there is nothing like childcare. Like many others, I crave to do and work in a field that I truly enjoy and believe in. I am encouraging of learning while you play and developing strong motor skills. I favor parents that can communicate what they want their child to eat, what kind of activities they would like them to participate in and/or areas of development they are trying to work on.

I should at this time mention that I choose not to transport children, it is a risk I would prefer not to take. I also usually depend upon public transportation and the occasional bike ride or taxi anyways. Living in a small city so easy to get around in, I prefer it... and, I admit, it is cheaper. :)
