I am a loving mother of one beautiful 5-month-old little boy. I feel as if it is my calling to teach, care for, and most importantly love watching children grow and learn. I am the oldest of 3, so my babysitting experience started when I was about 9-years-old. My dad worked 3rd shift, so I watched my siblings while mom was working and then helped my mom with her daycare a few years later. She had an in-home daycare for over 15 years, so you could say it is in my blood. I was also involved in Girl Scouts as a child, so babysitting was a part of my preteen and teenage years. Through the years I've had many jobs, but when I started a daycare of my own, after being laid off, it is the best job I've ever had. I don't even want to consider it a job, as it is more of a privilege. The activities we do daily are everything from circle time, sing and dance, story time, learning different subjects, colors, rhymes, and age-appropriate flash cards. Of course we do many outdoor activities, as well. There are days we go to the park or even to the local pool during the summer months. I even have occasional sleepovers with the kids. We bake cookies, watch movies, go to Chuck E. Cheese, and even take trips to the zoo. It has been the best years of my working life, that's for sure. It would be my pleasure to obtain new experiences in caring for your children in so many ways.
