I started taking care of little kids when I was about 9 yrs old. My older sisters had plenty of them to play with and learn how to take care of. I had several babysitting jobs as a teenager to. Then as an adult when My own son was small I took care of 2 little girls 5 days a week while their mom finished college. We did a lot of fun activities. Later on I had two little girls of my own and was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom. I never took this opportunity for granted. I wanted to teach them all I could and help them learn about the world around them. It was very important to make wonderful memories for them. One of our favorites was for each of us design and decorate a ginger bread house. We would start the first part of December so they could be displayed throughout the Christmas season. Another favorite memory for all of us was snuggling in bed and reading fun colorful books they'd picked out at the library. This instilled in them a great love for reading. To me children are so special and need loving, PATIENT, guidance to help them develop into healthy, happy adults that have confidence in themselves. If I can, I want to help make a difference in a child's life.
