A little about me. I have been a baby sitter, (infant-middle school age children), for six years. I have been a teacher's assistant for kindergarten and fourth-grade for one year, and also tutored first-grade students as well. Then, I have been an infant-late elementary age Sunday school teacher for six years (as well as helped with vacation Bible schools and have lead worship/dance groups for four years). I also have experience in the areas of: doing child care at Alternatives to violence, working with abused kids, tutoring first graders, helping kids and families in the McKee Medical Center Emergency Department, and being a teacher's aide for a year for kindergarten and fourth grade classes. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to work with kids, (especially orphans overseas). I would like to work someday as a teacher or psychologist, as I deeply enjoy the fun and insights kids bring to life. I value being a mentor and role model for the kids in my life as this will help them become all they can be, not only now, but later on when they grow up. Creating opportunities for kids, especially through family and the local church is what I want to do with my life. :)
