I have been an in home caregiver for several years, I also have been employed for a Mom's Day program, and also a small daycare. I chose to become a childcare provider to become a stay at home mother, so that was a way to have my children around others and earn extra income. Now with my youngest daughter attending kindergarten this year, I decided I would like to pursue a job outside of the home. I am looking for a part time position, but may consider full time depending on the hours. I do enjoy children very much, and know that it is hard for parents to leave their child in someone elses care, I have had many parents a little weepy leaving them the first day (it does become easier) I think having a good caregiver that will honestly love and nurture your child while you are away is extremely important, as is an open and up front relationship with the parents.
