As a senior in High School I completed a program with AmeriCorps where I tutored Kindergarten through 5th grade. My goal was to raise their reading scores while completing my 900 volunteer hours. I feel in love with the school I was working at and started working in the after school program after graduating High School. I was quickly promoted to Assistant Site Coordinator. My responsibilities included managing billing accounts, making bank deposits, organizing field trips and on site activities. I had to resign with this job to continue my education at UCF. I have now graduated and realize how much I miss the children. I feel that being a Nanny would be an opportunity to help a family out while also putting me back into the lives of children.
