My name is Shannon. I'm 20, and I am a sophomore at UNC Asheville. This past summer, I worked with a church as a camp counselor for their Summer Enrichment Program, and I hope to return to the position this summer. I worked with children in groups of about 15, aged 5 to 16. We took the children on many trips to the pool, museums and many other places.
I also worked with Family Services, volunteering at a shelter, where we were in charge of the children who lived there with their mothers.
I have a niece who, at 16 years old, is past the age of needing childcare, but who I often babysat in the past. I also have a 4-year-old nephew who I babysit on a regular basis back in Winston-Salem.
