Hello, my name is Shanda. I am 22 years old. I am young, and most families do not want to take a chance on me, but I am very reliable and put the child first. I am married and just enjoy working, especially with children. I have been working with children for five years now. I worked at an athletic club for 2 1/2 years in the nursery. There, I began to babysit for the families that came in. Through recommendations, my list of families grew. I decided I would like to try out being a nanny. I like to devote my time and energy into one amazing family. I am a nanny that will engage in tons of activities and I like to keep a fun, positive attitude. I have worked as a nanny for one family and I worked with a 3-month-old baby. He is a year old now and his mom is comfortable enough to put him in school and no longer needed a nanny. I enjoyed working with the baby and it was very rewarding watching him grow and helping him learn. But I love all ages. I am looking for a long term position, 1 year plus. I also look forward to adding on more responsibility to my workload. I have no problem with light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc.). I have worked with children from 3 months to 11 years old. I have helped with homework, play dates, doctor trips, educational trips like children's museum, etc. I also am First Aid and CPR certified.
