I have 10+ years of childcare experience, mostly being a nanny, but also including daycare and summer camp experience. I feel comfortable and have experience with children of all ages, ranging from newborn to 16.

I take being a nanny very seriously and always care for children as if they were my own. I do not believe in spoiling children nor do I believe in being their servant. I enjoy helping them grow into happy well-rounded young adults, with good manners and who are capable of making responsible decisions.

I also take my time to understand each child as an individual so that together we are able to communicate comfortably. With communication we can build trust and with that trust, I feel, kids become more open to my suggestions/guidance and rather then protest it, they are eager to appease.

I also have many personal life experiences and hobbies which help me to connect/relate well with kids. I love to play sports and have played them my whole life. In high school I played varsity lacrosse and field hockey, I also played club soccer and basketball. I also enjoy music and art and love incorporating all of these into fun activities and experiences for kids.

While being a nanny, my duties have varied but I always try to be very efficient. Past my obvious duties of tending to the children, I've also been responsible for: car pool, meals, laundry, classes/outings (zoo, parks, aquarium, etc.), managing the house during repairs/remodels and shopping.
