I began babysitting at age 15 for neighbors and family members and continued throughout high school and college. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Rhetoric.

During the summers of 2007 and 2008, I was Camp Director at the Mt. Lebanon Playground Camp. I supervised 40-60 children and five to six camp counselors. I organized field trips, daily activities, and retained constant communication with the campers' parents.

In September of 2007, I began working in Miyakonojo, Japan to teach at an English immersion kindergarten. For seven months, I taught English and organized crafts and games to a class of 19 4-5-year-old Japanese students.

Upon my return to America, I received a position of Group Supervisor with the Mt. Lebanon Extended Day Program. I supervised groups of up to 20 school-age children as well as organized scheduled activities and interfaced with parents daily.

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Education for Applied Developmental Psychology with a Master's of Science degree in December, 2011. I have obtained certification as a Child Life Specialist to work with hospitalized children and promote healthy development in hospital and pediatric health care settings. I currently work full-time at a hospital.

I have current Act 32/33 Clearances as well as infant, child, and adult CPR certification through the American Heart Association that I can provide upon request.
