After working for the past seven years at a sleep away summer camp with children between the ages of 6-14 in various counselor and management roles, I have found that this my favorite way to spend the summer. Fostering a fun, safe, and creative environment while kids are out of school is a niche that I found through working at a YMCA camp for so long and I wanted to extend that just one last summer before graduating college and moving on to the real world. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Life-guarding, so safety anywhere is something I am committed to. Of course over the summer kids don't just want to sit inside all day, spending time at the local park or pool is usually a great activity to keep them occupied. Time at home should be utilized for fun as well! I love doing crafts whether it's friendship string or making forts out of boxes, no imagination is too large to keep up with.
