I have always had a passion working with children. I started baby-sitting a lot when I was younger. I also helped out at my mom's work(she is a special education teacher). This helped my ability to develop relationships with children and help in their growth and development. I also did volunteer work at boys and girls club and several organizations throughout college. I graduated from college with a degree in Juvenile Justice, with a minor in Psychology. This allowed me to elaborate on my passion with children, by expanding my population. I have spent nearly the 2 years working with at-risk boys and girls ages 6-17. These opportunities and experiences have allowed me to deal with different situations and better develop my passion of working with children. I recently resigned from a position as a case manager with Department of Children and Family Services, where I aided for care of children whom were abused and neglected age 0-17. I feel no matter the age and background of a child with care, guidance and of course fun, they can develop into outstanding young people and that's what I enjoy seeing.
