I have always loved being around and working with children. As a high school and college student I babysat frequently to earn extra money. The parents loved having me babysit because I enjoy playing with the kids, helping with homework, being outside or at the park, and getting them to bed on time.

I have worked as a coach and swimming instructor for children ages 3-15. I loved watching my team and students learn and grow.

My most challenging care-giving position was in 2006-2007 when I was responsible for caring for 26 girls in a boarding home. I was basically their mom away from home helping them get ready for school, do homework, have fun activities in the afternoons and weekends, and support them in whatever way they needed. It was challenging because of the number of girls, but it was very rewarding work.

My most recent nannying experience has been with a 3-year-old girl who I watched for two days a week for six months and then full-time for half of the summer. Additionally, I watched her 4-year-old cousin three days per week during the summer. We had a wonderful time playing, coloring and doing crafts, and going to storytime and the pool.
