I have a passion for working with children! I was a camp counselor at the Monroe County YMCA for 6 years while in high school and throughout college. I worked with children ranging from 2 up to 10 while at the YMCA. I also spent a summer in Ohio working at a summer camp (Camp Cheerful) that specialized in working with children diagnosed with autism, behavioral disorders, and other developmental disorders. It was a life changing summer for me. Working at Camp Cheerful in Ohio, I learned a lot about myself and how much I truly love working with children both with and without disabilities.
A little bit more about myself; I'm a Purdue graduate and am currently working for IU (ironic, I know!). I graduated with a degree in Family Services, but am continuing my education by pursuing an associates degree for Occupation Therapy Assisting. I am originally from Bloomington and I really enjoy this town. I love being outside, so I think we are very fortunate to have great parks, hiking trails, pools, and other activities to do here in Bloomington.
