After a trip to India my senior year and a stint as a high school English teacher and live-in nanny in Tanzania, I decided to devote my time to childcare. I have been an on-call babysitter since my early teens, watching children grow through the years. In September 2010, I was approached by a hopelessly devoted single mother and her 7-year-old son. I have since become an integral part of the family, allowing the mom time for herself and overnights with her boyfriend, giving her son a trustworthy playmate.

I love that I have found a job that brings me such joy, I could not ask for anything better. Getting to know children and their families is quite dear to my heart.

I love to explore the world with the children I care for. This means asking silly questions and creating silly answers (and finding out the "real" ones). It means lifting up rocks to see the beetles and worms underneath. It means dancing through the house to a song we create. It means having fun while we both learn something new.
