“ My experience in caring for children started when I was 14 years old. I watched kids with my sister off and on since I was 12 years old, but I started helping out in Sunday school classes when I was 14 years old. Over the next couple of years, I also worked in classes in which I gave snack time, rest time, and changed diapers.

When I was 14 years old, I also became part of a family with six kids of their own....

My experience in caring for children started when I was 14 years old. I watched kids with my sister off and on since I was 12 years old, but I started helping out in Sunday school classes when I was 14 years old. Over the next couple of years, I also worked in classes in which I gave snack time, rest time, and changed diapers.

When I was 14 years old, I also became part of a family with six kids of their own. The ages at that time ranged from infant to 9 years old. I lived with them, helped care for the kids, and babysat them, which included feeding, bathing, and putting to bed. This happened throughout high school and throughout college whenever I was home.

During high school, I also continued helping in classes at church, mainly with early childhood. I've also taken care of my niece and nephew since they were born, anytime I visited. I was also paid throughout high school and college by family friends and professors to take care of their children.

More experience: Missions trips with VBS for children in Mexico (went two times in high school) and a trip to Russia, visiting orphanages and teaching VBS lessons as well.

Currently, I am married to a Ball State graduate student and live in Muncie while working in Marion. I plan on relocating to Muncie to be closer to home and the community. When we find a church, I plan on volunteering again in children's classes. I've always had a passion for creating empathetic and understanding relationships with children.
