I am an 18-year-old student enrolled at Sacred Heart University looking for a care-giver position for the summer. I have been working with children for 5 years. My experience includes giving daily, weekly, and bi-weekly care to several families. Responsibilities included feeding children from infancy to age 13, cleaning infants and giving them supervision, playing with and organizing activities for children, taking them on day trips, and providing help with homework. I have also worked as a tutor for elementary age children for 5 years, responsibilities of which included going over homework assignments as well as re-teaching lessons in a personalized way for the child to understand, giving encouragement and counseling to the child, reading and engaging critical thinking, and organizing educational and stimulating games and activities, as well as overseeing healthy social interactions among a large group of children. I am a Psychology and Biology major, meaning I have studied Child Development and Psychology and am also familiar with basic health practices.
