I am a responsible 36-year-old stay-at-home mother whose children are getting older. I have a 9-year-old who is in third grade at a Montessori school during the week, and a 6-year-old who is finishing kindergarten at a Spanish/English duel immersion program. My children often come with me to jobs on weeknights and on some weekends. This usually works out really well- they are a lot of fun to play with.

Before becoming a mother, I was going to school to become an elementary school teacher. Before motherhood, I did several hours a week of volunteer work to help children who were struggling with learning to read. Since becoming a mother, I have devoted my 'spare' time to being a La Leche League leader, helping women breastfeed their children. I also do work for Kindermusic. I believe in attachment parenting and parenting with respect. I 'discipline' with the positive discipline techniques that I have learned through workshops and books.

I moved to Petaluma in January 2010 (from Santa Rosa) and have been building a new clientele here. I have experience with infants up through teenagers.

I also enjoy bringing art supplies or games for a variety of entertainment. I enjoy preparing healthy snacks and meals and am very good at leaving a job cleaner than it was when I arrived (also never refuse to do side work if your children are sleeping, such as cleaning, folding laundry, etc.). Some clients have me run errands for them. I am very easy to get along with and am very good at providing the specific type of care that you want. Every home is different and I respect that each home has different rules and policies.
