I am 24 years old. I am a responsible, professional, and organized person looking to find a family that I can grow with. I have been babysitting and caring for children since I was about 12-years-old. I have cared for not only my family members, but many other families. Previously, I spent many of my summers caring for my nieces and nephews beginning at newborn to the age of 10. When my youngest niece was born, I lived with her and spent many nights and days caring for her as a newborn. I lived with her until the age of 2, and enjoyed being there during the early years. I also spent time working in YMCA watching the children in the children's area. As a result, I also babysat many of the children that came to the gym on a regular basis.

I recently graduated with an AA in Early Childhood Education. I will be attending a university in the Fall 2011. I am seeking this degree so that I can teach kindergarten up to third grade. My current GPA is 3.915. I have completed the 99-credit hour certification. This certification is strongly encouraged for individuals working at a preschool. I have spent 15 hours observing children for my classes, as well as taught a lesson for 3-year-old children. I have also assisted with several other lessons during my time in college.

The reason that I want my particular degree is because I want to watch children grow and learn. Children are very easily influenced and during their first five years, is when the most growth occurs. I want to feel that I help mold the child into the person that they will become by giving them a great foundation to start from.

I am not currently CPR certified, but if that is something that is important to you, I would be willing to look into obtaining that and any other certification you might want. However, I was previously certified and believe I retained much of those skills.

My hours change from semester to semester but I always try to work around what your needs are first and foremost! Since I am in school, I could also care for children full-time in the summer for whatever hours were needed. Thank you for your time.
