“ I am a mother of 2 grown children. When my children were smaller, I ran a daycare from my home for 5 years. My experience goes back to when I was a child of 13. I babysat my sister's three boys and other neighbors' children. Since then there have been several other jobs I have done, but decided to go back into the field of childcare about 5 years ago. It is so rewarding to see them grow, learn, and have fun....

I am a mother of 2 grown children. When my children were smaller, I ran a daycare from my home for 5 years. My experience goes back to when I was a child of 13. I babysat my sister's three boys and other neighbors' children. Since then there have been several other jobs I have done, but decided to go back into the field of childcare about 5 years ago. It is so rewarding to see them grow, learn, and have fun. But I feel it should be done on their level. I mean I always try to make things fun. I enjoyed doing art projects at my children's school and I taught Sunday school for a couple of years at our parish, along with being involved as PTA Treasury, youth sports President, cheerleading coach, and on several committees. My husband and I were always involved in our children's school. We felt it made our children do better in school, whether be academics, or sports. Both our children are doing well, one is a teacher, and the other is in management.
