Since I was 12 years old, I have been watching children. I have been a steady babysitter for about 3 or 4 different families who had children ages 6 months to 10 years old. I have volunteered at a day camp over two different summers for two weeks each and worked with kids ages 5 to 14. I was also a volunteer youth group leader once a week for the same organization. I have several friends who have children, and have spent time caring for their children when they needed a break, or babysitting their children when they went out. Also, on many occasions, I have watched younger cousins, or family friends' children. Currently, I am a Brownie Girl Scout leader in my town (Hinckley, IL) and I help assist the high school volleyball team at practices and games. I really enjoy volunteering in different leadership roles for children in and around my community. I have been a full time nanny for the past year for a family that have a 18-month-old boy and a 5-month-old girl.
