I have 8+ years of experience. I posses excellent skills, experience, and knowledge working with children. I believe it is crucial to provide children with proper quality and care by allowing them to grow through play, in a fun and safe atmosphere. I support development through play that stimulates fine and gross motor development, cognitive, social, emotional, and communicative development. As a young teen I began babysitting periodically on weekends, summer vacations and after school to make a little extra money here and there. I started my career with babies when my mother opened a daycare in Versailles, KY (In Memory of my 6-year-old sister, who we lost in a car accident). I was employed at Haley's Way Day Care Center for 6+ years and although there were "Let's test Ms. Sam's patience" days, there were also days I would have little to no make-up and the children would compliment on "how pretty I looked and how much they loved me." Those are the moments that make it all worth it. They were hands down six of the best years of my life. Unfortunately, Haley's Way Day Care Center was sold because of financial struggles in Dec 2010. A new to owner took over and it became "Hugz N Hissy Fits." I continued my employment at HNHF until June 2011. I didn't adjust well to the changes taking place. However, I would love nothing more than to pursue my experience with children. I have taken several training hour classes through the Child Care Council. I have also maintained my CPR, First Aid Certification, and also my CNA Certification. I have had background checks and TB skin tests. Last year I was a Nanny for a family with a 2-year-old girl in Louisville, KY. She is now enrolled in a daily preschool program to better fit their needs. Over the years I have had tons of experience with all ages, Newborn Infants to 12 yrs old. (Including all of my younger siblings) I have 3 Sisters (2 and 10-year-old & (would now be 14); 2 brothers (4 yrs & 7 yrs). I guess you could say an essential passion in my life are those precious, yet mischievous munchkins! I have definitely had my share of experiences and hope to have the privilege of adding your family to them as well!
